Here is a gold coin struck when Spain was still an empire with colonies around the globe. From Colombia, we have this 1792 8 Escudos.
The obverse carries a likeness of King Charles IV of Spain. Crowned arms within a chain are on the reverse.
Struck at the Cartagena mint to a .875 standard and containing .7614 ozs. of gold, this example has been graded Extra Fine 40 by NGC.
These older 18th century gold coins from Columbia don't show up with much frequency, so don't miss out! KM# 62.1.
