This series 1928 $500 FRN from the St. Louis district is a beauty!
Graded About Uncirculated 55 by PMG, this note looks CU at first glance! Only the corner bumps and 1 minor handling fold keeps this example from being Uncirculated. Still a nice high quality note. Woods/Mellon signatures.
An interesting aspect of the Federal Reserve Notes from 1928 is that their redemption wording states, "Redeemable in Gold on Demand at the United States Treasury, or in Gold or Lawful Money at any Federal Reserve Bank." No Federal Reserve Note since 1928 has carried this redemption. Friedberg#2200-H.
