1863/53 Mexico Gold 8 Escudos Genuine PCGS

This gold 8 Escudo was struck when Mexico was dealing with the French military occupation. Struck at the Mexico City mint (the oldest mint in the Western Hemisphere), this coin also has an overdate of 1863 over 53.
The obverse carries a Liberty cap symbol. An eagle devouring a serpent is on the reverse.
This coin is .875 fine and contains .7615 of an oz. of gold. This specimen has been certified Genuine by PCGS.
This is a nice mid 19th century gold coin from Mexico! KM#383.9.
