Series 1901 $10 United States Note. The very popular "Bison" note.
The obverse has oval portraits of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark on either side of an American Bison. The reverse depicts Columbia standing between two pillars and scrolls. Very attractive note. This issue received a renewed popularity a few years ago with the 200th anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase, and the Lewis & Clark expedition that explored it. This note has been graded Fine 12 by PCGS. A solid note for the grade andl an attractive example of this popular issue.
Bison notes are always in demand and this is the earliest of all the signature combinations for this type (Lyons/Roberts). Friedberg#114.
