High grade Roman Silver more than 1,700 years old!
This Silver Denarius depicts Emperor Gordian III, 32nd Emperor of the Roman Empire, who ruled from A.D. 238 to 244. Coin specs are 19mm and 3.9g. The obverse features a right facing bust of Gordian III and the words "IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG." Reverses can vary, but a typical one is Gordian standing in military attire as well as the words "P M TR P V COS II P P." These nice ancient Silver coins are graded Uncirculated by NGC. Outstanding!
