Here is a series 1928 $1000 FRN, from the (F) Alanta District.
One of the interesting aspects of the Federal Reserve Notes from 1928 is that their redemption wording states, "Redeemable in Gold on Demand at the United States Treasury, or in Gold or Lawful Money at any Federal Reserve Bank." No Federal Reserve Notes after the 1928 series' has carried this redemption.
Signatures are Woods/Mellon. This example has seen moderate wear and judging by the three heavy vertical folds, could have been some well to do person wallet trophy at one time. This note grades Fine. Friedberg#2210-F.
