Here is a nice Series 1928 $1,000 Federal Reserve Note from the Chicago district. This example looks Extra Fine at first glance, but PCGS has graded it Very Fine 35 with Premium Paper Quality! The only distraction is the light stain at the right edge. S/N G00056792A.
One of the interesting aspects of the Federal Reserve Notes from 1928 is that their redemption wording states, "Redeemable in Gold on Demand at the United States Treasury, or in Gold or Lawful Money at any Federal Reserve Bank." No Federal Reserve Notes after the 1928 series' has carried this redemption. Signatures are Woods/Mellon. Friedberg#2210-G.
