Issued for the 2008 Olympics held in Beijing. This beautiful 18-coin set contains six 1/3 oz gold coins and 12 one ounce silver coins.
Series I: Children's Sports Games - The two gold 150 yuan coins contain .3334 of an ounce of gold. The designs are of equestrian and archery events. The 4 silver one ounce proofs depict children playing traditional games combined with a colorized element. Hoop rolling, shuttlecock kicking, goat jumping, and kite flying.
Series II: Chinese Landmarks- Gold designs are of Weightlifting and Swimming and the Silver of the Traditional Courtyard Residence in Beijing Summer Palace, Great Wall of China, and the Tibetan Tower of Beihai Park in Beijing.
Series III: Chinese Culture - Gold designs are of Wrestling and Cuju and the Silver is of Traditional Chinese Peking Opera, Yangge, Lion dances, and a Chinese Tea House.
