1984 saw the release of Pobjoy Mint’s very first Gold Angel coin which depicted a classical image of Saint Michael and 2009 is the 25th Silver Anniversary of the Isle of Man Gold Angel coin. To commemorate this series of special coins, the Isle of Man Treasury has released a unique Proof .9999 fine Gold Angel coin with an outer ring of Proof .999 fine Silver around the coin. With a limited mintage of only 500 of these special bi-metallic coins, each coin contains 31.1 grams of gold and 9.39 grams of silver. This example has been certified Gem Proof by NGC.
