The history of 1 oz Gold Panda coins
Gold Panda coins were first issued with the iconic panda design in 1982 in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz, all in .999 fine Gold. In 1983, Gold Chinese coins were also released in 1/20 oz. Gold Chinese Pandas have been released with a new design every year, except for a brief freeze when 2002 coins were minted with the same design as 2001. The Gold coins are produced by several Chinese mints that do not utilize mintmarks, but in some years minor variations allow the originating mint to be determined.
Why invest in 1 oz Gold Panda coins?

For that reason, Gold coins are a popular investment, with many investors considering Gold bullion to be a safe haven investment.
2015 Gold Panda coins combine beauty and history into one gorgeous design.
2015 Gold Panda coins feature the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, which was constructed from 1406 to 1420 during reign of the Yongle Emperor, the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. The Hall of Prayer on these Gold Chinese coins is a three-story, circular building with a central hall that has a marble floor with a dragon and phoenix pattern. The original building was constructed using wood without nails, and was rebuilt after a lightning strike in 1889 caused a fire. Part of a complex of religious buildings known as the Temple of Heaven, where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed for good harvest and worshipped the gods of heaven, this design makes for beautiful Gold Chinese Pandas.
