This Confederate States $1.00 note is from the series of 1863, and features a portrait of Clement Clay at top center.

Clay was a U.S. Senator from Alabama from 1853 until the beginning of the Civil War. He then represented his home state in the Confederate Senate from 1862-1864. This note is in Fine condition. Still a decent example of CSA paper money. Catalogued as T-62.
