Nice! Large!

I don't know how many different designs there are but I am hoping to find out provided silver stays affordable. The obverse is a bit plain and shows a young bust of the queen. I feel this adds to appeal of purists. The reverse is well detailed. For the stackers: incredible ping tone second to none for sterling. you will not believe the ring. The price over spot is small. Will stand out in your stack due to the large size relative to the American Eagle.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design

I get at least 1 with every order. There are so many differnt ones to collect. On top of that they come in Proof and BU. I've bought a bunch from APMEX and another site and i still haven't got the same coin twice.

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Mint Condition
  • Recognized Brand

Olympics, the Queen, and precious metals, how cool!

Back in the dark ages (1976) I sailed my olympic class sailboat on the great lakes; cold water, fabulous people. So I have an attachment to these coins. Great price for high quality silver. And in protective capsule, kid proof. Don't wanna tout them too much, there won't be any left for me to keep stacking!

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Mint Condition

These coin are awesome. Last one i got was a proof. I started buying ".925 sterling silver secondary market" off APMEX and got some pretty cool stuff. so i decided to look into other coins that were .925 and came across these Canadian Govt. issued coins. There are plenty of different ones in the series to collect too. Every one i have aquired was still mint in capsule. I can't say the same for the capsule itself but what can one expect from a 39 year old plasic casing. Another cool thing about these coins is there size. big.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Easy to Sell
  • Mint Condition
  • Recognized Brand

Canadian Olympic $10

By  Pinal Prepper

Preppers take notice! survivalblog & others say buy junk silver dimes which was a great idea before there was a $6 an ounce premium. These each have more silver than 20 dimes, are prettier and have a lower markup. In a collapse situation one should be able to get 20 dimes value for them. If you don't have much silver yet, buy these now.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Mint Condition
  • Recognized Brand

First disappointment with APMEX??

By  safegod

I have ordered from APMEX several times this year and have always been very pleased. But I guess all good things change? The coins were scratched, off color and just in my order just in very poor condition. Shipping was great as usual, so not all bad. I will put some extra thought in my next purchase. God Bless Kevin

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Easy to Sell
  • Attractive Design

Cons

  • Coins Came Scratched
  • Poor Condition

These coins are a fun and low-premium method to accumulate silver. A total of 14 different $10 coin designs were issued from 1973-1976 to commemorate the 1976 Montreal Olympics. Each coin is 48.6 grams of .925 silver, giving 1.4454 troy ounces of silver per coin.

Very finely made in 0.925 silver. The ones I received were not in capsules but that is not an issue for me I would rather have them out of the plastic. Very large coins they will not fit in any tubes that I know of. The ones I recieved were in very good shape with only a few superficial nicks probably from the removal of the capsule
