The Roosevelt Dime was issued almost immediately following FDR’s death in 1945. The dime was released on January 30, 1946, which would have been Roosevelt’s 64th birthday. After the Coinage Act of 1965, which eliminated Silver from circulating dimes and quarters, the composition changed to a pure copper inner layer between two outer layers of cupronickel (copper/nickel alloy).
This example comes to you as a Gem Proof Deep Cameo. The details on this coin stand out remarkably. Get this Roosevelt Dime while you can!
