Breast Cancer Awareness Commemoratives

In honor of International Women’s Month, the United States Mint has released a series of Breast Cancer Awareness Commemorative coins. The six releases include Silver, Gold and clad versions, all in Brilliant Uncirculated or Proof finishes. The Gold coin is especially remarkable because of its rose Gold color in honor of the pink so closely associated with breast cancer awareness.

Customers who purchase these coins gain more than a commemorative to hold, as a portion of every sale will be given as a charitable donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. $10 of every Silver Breast Cancer Awareness Commemorative, $35 of every Gold Breast Cancer Awareness Commemorative and $5 of every Clad Half Dollar Breast Cancer Awareness Commemorative purchased will be donated. Each purchase of a PCGS-certified version – of any of the six releases – will include an additional $3.50 donation. These Breast Cancer Awareness Commemoratives give you the satisfaction of an investment and the peace of mind of knowing a great cause is being supported with this campaign.

The Breast Cancer Awareness Commemorative Coin Act was signed into law on April 29, 2016 and was commissioned to further the progressive research efforts of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. These commemorative coins are produced at the Philadelphia Mint and come with a certificate of authenticity. The obverse shows two women clutching their chests, one with an arm raised in a triumphant gesture. The iconic breast cancer ribbon and a butterfly rest in the background. The reverse features the tiger swallowtail butterfly as a symbol of hope.

Shop each of these beautiful and charitable coins now, whether you prefer Silver, Gold or a simple and elegant clad coin. Find Proof, BU and PCGS-certified coins now available to purchase at APMEX!
