The American Legacy Collection Combines Classic Coins with Modern Minting
Iconic American coinage is achieving unheard of design depth and detail thanks to Osborne Mint, the oldest private mint in the United States. The widely popular Buffalo Nickel is the first in this new series and is available now at APMEX.
The American Legacy Collection consists of coinage designs re-interpreted in one ounce of .999 fine Silver. Not to be confused with coin replicas, the mint has re-modeled four classic sculpted profiles with 10 times more depth than a standard relief round. Custom-fitted capsules emphasize the depth of the design and protect the Silver from tarnishing.
Inspired by the 1913 Buffalo Nickel, the first round of the series depicts James Earle Fraser's classic portrait of an American Indian in profile on the obverse. The reverse features Osborne’s historic mintmark, the letter “O” over the letter “M.” These 1 oz Silver Rounds are available in Proof, Antique and Colorized
The Osborne Mint is based out of Cincinnati, Ohio, and traces its roots back to 1835 when President Andrew Jackson was in office. The business has been a trusted name in private minting for over 175 years and helped create many historic projects, including campaign medallions used by Illinois Senator Abraham Lincoln during his presidential candidacy in 1860.
Celebrate American history with the first release in the beautiful American Legacy Collection available now at APMEX.
