Morning Gold & Silver Market Report – 4/11/2014

The Gold price looks poised for its largest weekly rise in a month, as the yellow metal gained for a fourth day this week. Mitsubishi Corp. analyst Jonathan Butler said, “What we saw this week was quite interesting because it emphasizes the rolling back of the seemingly hawkish stance [from the Federal Reserve] that we saw at the previous meeting and I think Gold is taking some comfort from that. We have no central banks' particular releases next week, although the Fed's Chair [Janet] Yellen is speaking at quite high-profile conferences and attention will be there.”

U.S. stock futures are off to a poor start after JPMorgan Chase’s earnings failed to satisfy investors. Thursday’s heavy selling in stocks trickled down to Tokyo’s Nikkei index and the Stoxx Europe 600, with those falling 2.4 percent and 1.7 percent respectively. Wells Fargo is on tap to report earnings later this morning and is expected to impress.
