Krugerrand Series
First introduced in 1967, the 1 oz Krugerrand was the world's first modern Gold bullion coin in the world and this Gold bullion coin series is still a favorite of collectors and investors today. In 1980 three other sizes were introduced which included the 1/0 oz Krugerrand. The Krugerrand were minted to assist in promoting South African Gold to the international markets. Krugerrands were never assigned a face value but were designed to derive their value from the price of Gold at the time they are traded. The Gold Krugerrand is prized around the world, with a highly sought-after design inspired by history. They feature the South African Republic's first president, Paul Kruger. On the reverse, a springbok, which is the national animal, and the date of minting appear. On the Krugerrand Gold coin, the springbok seems to be jumping into action, while President Kruger is a reminder of 19th century South African political and military affairs.
South African Mint
The South African Mint manufactures Proof Krugerrand, and works with the Rand Refinery to mint the bullion Krugerrand. The mint produces coins on behalf of and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the South African Reserve Bank. In 1886, Gold was discovered near the Wilwatersrand area of Johannesburg and President Paul Kruger decided to establish a national mint. Today, the South African Mint is one of the world's top exporting mints.

I bought 10 of these — received all 2023 dated coins (current year). I was expecting some older coins in the mix; nevertheless, all were in good condition. These are pretty small — very close but ever so slightly smaller to a dime in size. It is kind of fun stacking them if you have more than 1. I kind of like the 1 OZ a little better (it is more substantial). My initial reaction to these 1/10 oz is that they are pretty small (emphasis on small). Although if you get the 1/10 oz coin stacker and start stacking them, they are a little better :-). You just need to stack them. I give this 4 stars as the 1 Oz is a superior coin in my opinion and the 1/10 oz is indeed pretty small.
