Product Details1787 Vermont Copper Colonial Type Cent. This is the "VERMON AUCTORI" with bust facing right variety. The legends are strong but the date is readable but typically weak. All Vermont colonial coins are scarce and are hard to keep in our inventory.
- Struck in Pure Copper.
- Encapsulation by PCGS authenticates and protects the Very Good-8 condition of the coin.
- Dies were made by William Coley and others.
- Obverse: Depicts a bust of King George III, with the Legend "VERMON AUCTORI" around it.
- Reverse: Features a seated woman, with the date "1787" and "INDE ET LIB" around her. This translates to an abbreviation of "Independence and Liberty."
