Despite being minted from 1870 to 1892, Second Republic 2 1/2 Pesos are exceptionally difficult to find, as the series was minted in very low numbers. This late example is one of only 540 1888-dated pieces, and is graded MS-62 by NGC.
- Contains .1189 oz of Gold.
- NGC encapsulation protects and guarantees the MS-62 condition of the coin.
- Mintage of 540 makes this coin a difficult one to find, especially in uncirculated grades.
- Obverse: Mexico's national coat of arms featuring a golden eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its beak.
- Reverse: Value within half wreath.
