Product Details
The first commemorative coins that were issued by the United States were minted for the 1892-93 World's Columbian Exposition, held in Chicago. This specimen features natural blue and purple toning on the obverse and reverse.

Coin Highlights:
  • Contains .3617 oz of Silver.
  • Encapsulation by PCGS guarantees the MS-65 condition of the coin.
  • Obverse: Features the bust right of Christopher Columbus. The inscriptions surround the portrait read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “COLUMBIAN HALF DOLLAR” with the phrases divided by stars. Natural toning occurs on the outer ring of the coin with deep purple, blue, and yellow colors.
  • Reverse: Depicts the Santa Maria, Columbus’ flagship with two globes below. A natural tone effect has created a thick blue ring with a gradient to a thin purple ring.
