This is a nice coin with a great look. This coin was struck from dies of fine style. The portrait on the coin has been repaired, but is barely noticeable. Lysimachos was the successor of Alexander the Great.

Coin Highlights:
  • AV Stater, 8.40 grams.
  • Struck 3rd century BC, uncertain mint.
  • Graded and authenticated as being in Extra Fine 45 condition by ANACS. Noted as portrait repaired.
  • Struck from dies of fine style.
  • Obverse: Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon.
  • Reverse: Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monograms to inner left and in exergue.
