The Proof Gold Eagle release featured an extremely low mintage of only 1,945 coins, an honorary mintage reflecting the final year of World War II. Additionally, the coins have a special and unique V75 Privy mark which is present on the obverse. The privy is the shape of the Rainbow Pool, which is a reflecting pool that was built around the National World War II Memorial.
