This Apollo 11 commemorative medal features 1/2 oz of Gold with an attractive design. Limited to a small mintage, this coin celebrates the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon.

- Contains 1/2 oz of .999 fine gold
- These Apollo 11 anniversary coins were made using the original dies from the Robbins Company to strike a limited mintage of 2,019 medals.
- The reverse of the medals includes the names of the astronauts Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin along with the dates of the launch, moon landing and return. On the original medals that flew in space, the dates were left blank and were to be engraved upon their return to earth.
- Graded as Proof 70 Matte Finish by NGC and encapsulated as a First Day of Issue designation.
- Purity of the Gold medal is listed on the bottom edge of the medal.
- Obverse: Image of a eagle landing on the moon.
- Reverse: Lists the names of the astronauts and the dates of the launch, moon landing and return.
This commemorative release celebrates one of the most triumphant moments in U.S. history, as American astronaut Neil Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the moon on July 20, 1969.
