Series 541 MPCs were ordered on January 23, 1952. These certificates were issued in denominations of 5 cents through $10, and were used in Cyprus, England, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Philippines, Ryukyus and Scotland from May 27, 1958 until they were withdrawn on May 26, 1961. The Series 541 Military Payment Certificates were printed by Tudor Press in Boston, Massachusetts.
This Series 541 25 cent Military Payment Certificate is a Replacement Note where the serial number ends with a number instead of a letter like usual, which makes it more rare. The grade of Very Fine-20 by PMG only adds to this already very desirable note!
