Icons of Inspiration: Albert Einstein
The fourth installment of Icons of Inspiration focuses on Albert Einstein, widely regarded as one of history's most significant physicists. He's best known for his work in physics, which includes predicting black holes, developing the theory of relativity, and proposing light quanta. He was one of the greatest physicists to have ever lived, and his work in theoretical physics, particularly relativity and quantum theory, had a significant impact on science and philosophy. In 1921, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his research on theoretical physics.

He was opposed to Adolf Hitler due to his pacifistic attitude and Jewish ancestry. He also sent a letter to Franklin D. Roosevelt, warning him that the Germans were making nuclear weapons and urging him to begin looking into them. Despite his trepidation that the Nazis would use nuclear weapons if they possessed them, Einstein strongly rejected the notion of employing them in battle.

His intellect, curiosity, humor and compassion for others are all proof of his legacy. If it weren't for his discoveries, the fields of science and mathematics would not be where they are today.
