This uncommon coin issued by the government of Queen Elizabeth features a strong, full portrait of Elizabeth I. Much of the public coinage of Elizabeth I features either a very weak bust or it has been worn down entirely.

Coin Highlights:
  • Half Groat of Elizabeth I. .92 grams.
  • This coin is in Extra Fine condition.
  • Obverse: Elizabeth I crowned facing left with pellets in the field.
  • Reverse: Shield surrounded by legend "POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV. Date above.
  • Finding a portrait coin of Elizabeth is uncommon. She was unpopular during portions of her reign and common practice was to rub the Queens portrait off her coinage.
