APMEX MintDirect®
APMEX created the MintDirect® process to assure each of these 2024 Silver Philharmonics tubes comes directly from sealed Austrian Mint boxes, guaranteeing these .999 fine silver coins have not been searched or sorted since minting. APMEX uses a special machine for this sealing process to ensure the products you receive are sealed completely once they are removed directly from the mint boxes. The mint tubes are placed on the conveyor leading into the machine, and the sealing process seals both ends of each tube with tamper-evident packaging. After the process is completed, the tube is removed from the machine and checked to ensure the quality of the packaging meets our exacting standards. You now have a finished tube of MintDirect® 2024 1 oz Silver Philharmonic coins.
Note: The MintDirect® process does not guarantee protection from spotting or tarnishing that normally occurs in chemically active metals, such as gold, silver and platinum.
The Austrian Philharmonic Series
Beginning with the Gold Philharmonic first released by the Austrian Mint in 1989, the series was expanded to include the silver coin containing 1 oz of .999 fine silver, and then two sizes in .9995 fine platinum in 2016 and 2018. All releases in the Philharmonic series pay homage to Vienna Musikverein’s Golden Hall, and the numerous instruments that are staples in the Vienna Philharmonic appear on the obverse and reverse design. To mark the anniversary of the Gold Philharmonic in 2004, a 1,000 oz version was created, and for the 20th anniversary, a 20 oz gold coin was released. Today, many sizes are available in the gold every year, including 1/25 oz, 1/10 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz and 1 oz, in addition to the silver and platinum coins.
A beautiful classic, these impressive 1 oz Silver Philharmonics are available in tamper-evident tubes to add security to your investment.
