1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Coins
Initially endorsed by Congress in 1986, the Gold American Eagle series rapidly became one of the world's most favored bullion coins. The Gold Eagle marks the United States government's inaugural backing of gold coins specifically for investment.
Produced in fractional portions, the American Gold Eagle is appealing to investors interested in smaller dimensions. The 1/4 oz Gold Eagle brings convenience to consumers with a restricted budget.
The artwork depicts patriotic representations, standing for the excellent heritage of the United States. The obverse design displays Lady Liberty in a remarkable posture, painting motivation off Saint Gaudens' 1907 $20 Double Eagle. The reverse displays a magnificently detailed eagle portrayal, created by Jennie Norris. All American Gold Eagle coins feature a make-up of .9167 fine gold, strengthened with copper and silver to increase wear resistance and durability.
