Series 1928-B with Woods/Mills signatures identify that this note was printed from February of 1932 through the end of President Hoover's term in March of 1933. This reduction in size from the older large size notes was done as a cost saving measure with all paper currency being used at that time.
Here is a like-new example of the first of the famous "Funny Back" notes. This series 1928-B $1 Silver Certificate was one of the first of this type in the new "small size" notes first introduced in 1928.
