Product Details
This gorgeous 1869 $10 legal tender head of Daniel Webster has been certified to be Uncirculated-64 by PCGS Banknote. This scarce note is in the rainbow variety, which is a very sought after note, especially in such a high grade.
This note is commonly referred to as the "jackass" note due to the likeness of the small eagle at bottom center. When the note is upside down, the eagle resembles the head of a donkey.
Currency Highlights:
This note has seen very light wear, and is without the usual distractions typical of these early U.S. paper money issues. The necessity of financing military operations during the Civil War forced the federal government to print paper money.
