Old PCGS 1st Generation RATTLER holder! Superb color on this beautiful coin. It was issued in 1936 to commemorate the Bicentennial of the founding of Norfolk, Virginia. Designed by William Marks Simpson and his wife Marjorie Emory Simpson, the obverse depicts the Seal of the City of Norfolk, VA, with a 3 masted ship. The reverse depicts the Royal Mace of Norfolk. This is housed in a very old PCGS holder and very conservatively graded as MS65. The coin has very light multi-colored toning on both sides. A beautiful coin!
