Victor Emmanuel II, born Vittorio Emanuele Maria Alberto Eugenio Ferdinando Tommaso, was the first king of a united Italy since the 6th century. He ruled from 1861 until his death in 1878 and is known to Italians as "Padre della Patria" (Father of the Fatherland).
This coin features one of the most interesting moustaches to appear on a coin. The lesser coat of arms of the House of Savoy appears on the reverse.

I got a nice problem-free 1874. If it were graded I guess it would be somewhere in the VF range. Has even wear on the obverse and reverse from normal circulation. The writing on the edge of the coin is mostly worn away though. Overall I'm happy with my coin.
