This Series 1935-A $1 Silver Certificate was printed on special paper as part of a trial to compare how this paper would hold up in circulation compared with the regular paper being used. This scarce note is in Fine condition.
Currency Highlights:
- This denomination and type was used widely in circulation until the 1960s.
- Housed in an archival quality currency sleeve.
- This note is in Fine condition.
- Julian/Morgenthau signatures. The large red "S" at lower right identifies this note as Friedberg #1610.
- Face: Portrait of George Washington with "Silver Certificate" above and "One Dollar" below. Red 'S' to the right of the Treasury Seal.
- Back: Familiar design of a $1 bill featuring the Great Seal of the United States.
