Istanbul Gold Refinery (IGR) is LBMA certified and approved. Only gold and silver bars that meet Good Delivery standards are acceptable in settlement of a loco London contract. The requirements for listing involve a stringent set of criteria, that include a minimum level of production and tangible net worth, with a rigorous technical assessment to review casting, refining and assaying abilities. To ensure that the high standards are maintained, Accredited Good Delivery refiners are subject to on-going testing under the LBMA's Proactive Monitoring Program.

I was very pleasantly surprised with this bar. It had a more rustic, primitive look online, but looked better in person. The assay card is really thick and sturdy (imagine 2 credit cards glued together and strengthened as well). The hologram on the assay card was a nice security feature and the way to go in my opinion.....not a fan of the bars that have the hologram on the actual bar. I'll definitely be buying more of these and wished they were available in the 1oz size on more of a regular basis.

In the future that is what money should be. This 5g gold piece came in an assay with laser engraving, signed, numbered. If they would make the assay tamper proof we could use it in circulation just like fiat. Attractive design, highly recommend it.

I'm just starting off in the precious metals industry and i bought a few things around christmas time and i love it. It has a simple yet nice design and is reasonably sized. It was delivered quickly and nicely packaged. The assay card it comes in is durable and well designed. I would and probably will buy it again
