The Italian Mint in Rome struck this beautiful and interesting gold medal in 2000 to commemorate the new millenium. A depiction of the proportions of man by Leonardo DaVinci surrounded by a likeness of DNA with 3 0.05 carat diamonds above is on the obverse side of these medals. A globe of the Earth surrounded by the date: 2000 and "III MILLENIUM" within a ring of stars and five doves on the reverse. AGW= 0.457 oz.
