The reverse of this coin is dedicated to the Adler Locomotive. The locomotive is shown (in color) on a run through the Bavarian landscape. The Adler was the first steam locomotive to be used successfully for commercial use in Germany. It was built in 1835 by the British railway pioneers George and Robert Stephenson, in Newcastle, England. This coal burning "Iron Horse" was delivered to Germany and began its service life Dec. 7, 1835, for the Bavarian Ludwig Railway, running between Nuremburg and Furth.

This Proof Silver coin's obverse features the arms of Liberia dividing the date, and separating the legend and denomination. This one is a must-have not just for coin collectors but railroad enthusiasts, as well. With such a limited mintage, these Proof Silver coins are not easy to find, so get one while you can.
