Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Easy to Sell
  • Recognized Brand

Cons

Consistent quality and value

I've now purchased 40 Ag Eagles from the "cull and damaged" option and couldn't be happier. Consistent quality, with a nice mix of years. One order had 20 2013 Eagles that I failed to find fault with in any regard. At the risk of eroding APMEX's incentive to offer this bargain, I don't see how a buyer can go wrong. Judging from the other reviews, I'm in good company.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)

Almost BU condition

The coins were much better condition than "cull, damaged, etc..." They were nearly perfect just very tiny blemishes you had to look extra close to find anything wrong with them.

Worth the lower Premium for the Condition.

As with any other items listed as Cull and Damaged, the price on these is significantly lower than AU/BU ones. As far as the condition, you get exactly what is listed and random years. Most of mine have either toning or spotting, but still contain one full ounce of .999 silver. The nice thing is that every once in while you do get some earlier years. I've had several 1987s, which are listed on here for much much more. Solid choice for getting Silver Eagles at a very low premium.

Will buy again

Received two 1993 eagles. One has some milk spots and the other just seems to have some minor dents and dings. Everyone knows what these are. You can sell them fast if you need to, they don't cost an arm and a leg over spot, and you don't have to worry about how you handle them.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Easy to Sell

Excellent buy

Ordered 5 of these as a test and was very pleased. 3 had spots that came off easily with a polishing cloth, 1 had a few scratches/dings, and 1 was a BU 1986 with no discernible flaws! I don't know if that was a mistake or not, but it was in the plastic flap container marked as a cull. Regardless I was very pleased and came out ahead. Would definitely recommend.

  • Mint Condition

The coin I received was a 1986 proof with very minor abrasions. Regardless it was still shiny and appealing to the eye of the beholder!!
