These coins were struck by the Kingdom of Pontus (most of which is located in what is now Turkey and the surrounding Black Sea area). Struck sometime during the reign of Mithradates VI (120-63 BC), this Gold stater, containing approximately 8.24 g Gold, has been graded Mint State by NGC! Noted as bent which saves you $$$!
The obverse features a crowned head of the deified Alexander with Ammon-horn. The reverse shows Athena seated, holding Nike and resting hand on hip. Very well preserved ancient Gold!
