This Continental Note is from the issue of September 26, 1778. The denomination is Sixty Spanish Milled Dollars, and was printed by Hall and Sellers of Philadelphia. That firm was formerly known as Benjamin Franklin and Hall.

Note Highlights:
  • Paper contains mica flakes which were mixed into the paper to deter counterfeiting, which is visible on this note.
  • Housed in an archival quality currency sleeve.
  • Note measures 71 mm x 89 mm and grades Extra Fine.
  • Face: The design on this note depicts a globe with the Latin motto "DUES REGNANT EXULTET TERRA" which translates to "The Lord Reigns-Let Earth Rejoice".
  • Back: Displays the image of a bow along with the face value of "Sixty DOLLARS."
  • Signed by Joseph Walter and one unidentified signer.
