Born in San Francisco on 27 November 1940, Bruce Lee was a Chinese-American martial artist, teacher, action-film actor, philosopher, and filmmaker. He remains one of the greatest icons of martial arts cinema and pop culture. His film success in Hong Kong in the early 1970s kick-started a cultural obsession with martial arts cinema and would be hugely influential in opening up the martial arts genre in the United States of America, as well as Europe, in the decades to follow.
This coin has been issued by the government of Tuvalu to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the birth of Bruce Lee. A low mintage adds to the collectibility of this issue!

Bought as a gift for an old buddy. Not a great value if you're only interested in the silver, and I don't know how well these kinds of 'commemorative' silver do for resale...but as a gift for someone who would appreciate it, this was just right. Great packaging and the coin itself is pretty nice in the hand. And as always, APMEX shipping and customer service were top drawer!
