This note is unusual in that it was printed on lined paper. Paper was scarce due to the Union blockades from British ships so the Confederate States used any and all paper that was available including wallpaper.

Currency Highlights:
  • This note is from the County of Grayson in Virginia. It is dated June 28, 1862 and is for the payment of 10 cents.
  • Notes will be housed in archival quality currency sleeves.
