You know...there is not much...hold on, there is not much that turns my head, or makes me want a closer look, because RCM coins are similar, US coins are similar, Australian coins, and silver rounds are similar...but...Enter the Panda! I was in a shop, and thought this was platinum at first! The local shop had them about 15 over spot, while Apmex has them less than half that over spot, and sometimes even less! This coin, while jaw-dropping for me, is also very nice in grams!!! I wish more coins were in grams see...think about it...1kg...1000grams, right? Well, it just tends to make things more simple. I could be wrong, but grams are the future units, as far as what is released. Nothing wrong with 31.1 gram coins at all! Just think the Chinese mint(?) is way ahead of it's time on the design and the weight. I am a big fan. I know there is a premium, but, not that bad in my opinion, and the sheets make for safer arrival. Again, just a beauty as far as eye appeal. I have to say it is perfect to my eye. I think the premium is in making the coin itself, a lot going on here. Plus have to account for importing these too. In person, it looks better than the pictures. I wish I started buying one each year, instead of just getting into them this year. I am a buyer of these any time I can afford it. Just going to pre-order one every year. Genius coin! Thank you!
