Excellent value vs. 1/2 oz Libertad

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

This silver 100 peso is an excellent substitute for 1/2 oz silver Libertad coin. Silver 100 peso has about 25% more silver content than 1/2 oz silver Libertad, 0.643 oz vs 0.50 oz and costs about 50 cents less per coin. All the 100 pesos i have recently bought have been in uncirculated condition and have a nice sound when dropped on table.

  • Pros
  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Easy to Sell
  • Mint Condition
  • Recognized Brand
  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

It's ok

The design looks a little flat to me in person. Could be just a weak strike example. Otherwise, condition is fine.

Hi Apmex, Just received my latest order including a handful of these 100 Peso coins. How cool! My coin hound grandson's love them. They all were AU/BU, and one even has very nice toning. Great service as usual thanks.

Nice coins but not what I expected

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

When I first saw this coin I though, what is Dracula doing on a coin? I had to look up José María Morelos. I decided to get some since they were supposed to be AU/BU quality and I liked the design. I expected the coins to be in better condition, it seems that in a lot of 10, only 2 coins are AU or BU quality. This is not a deal breaker for me but be aware that not all the coins will be of the quality listed.

  • Pros
  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Cons
  • Poor Condition
  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I've been hunting in bargin bins looking for this coin. I have caved in. Very nice coin. Hildalgo is represented well. The tone is smooth for the most part with few blemishes. Under a loup there are some dents and scrapes but otherwise a great value.

  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely beautiful coin! and what's better is the ASW is .6430! The exact specification from Casa De Moneda is: 27.78g total weight .720 Silver content 20 grams of Silver 20 grams / 31.103 ozt = .6430 of a ozt Then multiply .6430 ozt of actual silver weight by whatever spot is that hour and that's the coin's silver value in dollars.

  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
