I got this 2013 5 oz Silver Australian Lunar Year of the Snake & the 2012 Dragon today. They are ones of the nice coins in my collection. I will be collecting all 12 of these coins. Looking forward to the 2014 year of the Horse 5oz.

The 2013 Silver Lunar Year of the Snake coin features a snake curled around a tree branch. The Chinese character for ‘Snake’ and the inscription ‘Year of the Snake’ also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark. The Ian Rank- Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse. In plastic capsule.
In the Chinese Lunar Calendar, 2013 is the Year of the Snake. Those born under the influence of this sign are said to be intelligent, graceful, independent, analytical and charming.
