The Gold content of this Spanish colonial issue is .7615 oz. Struck in what was to become Colombia, this escudo depicts King Ferdinand VII of Spain. The crowned arms within the chain of the Order of the Fleece appear on the reverse. This is a nice early 19th century Gold coin that is graded Very Fine 30 by NGC. KM#66.2.
