This is the third and final coin of 2012 in a new series featuring great French ships. Every year for five years, this series will pay tribute to a sailing ship, a warship and an ocean liner. The France is one of the most famous French transatlantic ocean liners, icon of the art of the cruise throughout the 60's and 70's.
The obverse of this coin displays the bow of the ocean liner, along with its name in a style reminiscent of transatlantic company posters of the time. The reverse is a section of a porthole, crowned by ocean liner funnels with billowing smoke. Each of these beautiful Silver coins comes in a box and with a certificate of authenticity.
