This is a beautiful, partially colored, .925 fine Proof Silver coin dedicated to the Monasteries of Armenia. Sanahin Monastery is an Armenian monastery founded in the 10th century. The name Sanahin literally translates from Armenian as "this one is older than that one.”
In the territory of the complex there are more than 50 khachkars (stones with elaborate engravings representing a cross). On the obverse is the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia along with the value of "1000 Dram.”
