BOUGHT 2, GOT 1 BU & 1 NOT SO MUCH

By  Viincodi

4.0

I bought 2 of these and got 1 1944 & 1 1943. The 1944 is in perfect condition, as advertised, but the 1943 is not. It's not a disater, but it's seen better days and is not nearly as nice as the 1944 one. Understandable given it's over 70 years old, but if advertised as BU, then should be BU. Overall I'm pleased with these as I am with everything from Apmex.

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)

One of the Most Attractive US Small Coins

By  MFrederick

from Peoria, IL

4.0

The coin I received is BU, but just so. The coin I received is dated 1944 and in my opinion grades a minimum MS-61. This Mercury Dime has good luster, but has some hairlines and the obverse has a small scratch. The reverse is almost full bands. This an attractive coin and a decent buy for under $10.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Easy to Sell
  • Mint Condition
  • Recognized Brand

I decided to pick up 8 of these with an order the other day, and I was quite happy with what I got. Out of the 8, three had full bell lines, but two were circulated, but in AU condition. The chassis were dinged and worn. The rest of them had perfect obverses, but the bands were flat on the reverse. The best news is I got a 1945 micro S in BU condition. In addition, I got a nice range of mint marks, and somewhat decent dates. All 1940s, which was expected. At just over $8 a coin, this is a steal, and a definite inexpensive addition to your order. The only thing I can tell you, however, is that you never know what you're going to get. I've ordered the same product multiple times, and no two times was the quality the same.

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Easy to Sell
  • Mint Condition
