This Silver Denarius depicts Julia Mamaea, mother of Emperor Severus Alexander (A.D. 222-235). The obverse features Julia's right facing bust surrounded by "IVLIA MAMAEA AVG". The reverses can vary determined by stock on hand.

These nice ancient Silver coins are graded Choice Almost Uncirculated by NGC. Julia Mamaea and her son Severus Alexander were murdered in A.D. 235 by mutinous troops, ending the Severan dynasty. These are outstanding ancient coins!
