RCM Gold Lunar Coins
Royal Canadian Mint Gold Lunar Coins - Introduced by Emperor Huan Ti in 2637 BC, the Chinese lunar calendar consists of a 12-year cycle, with each year featuring a different representative animal: the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig. The character of each animal is believed to influence the events and political and economic conditions of its year, as well as the personality of individuals born during its cycle.
The personal connection of the each year's animal to the individuals born in that year makes the Chinese lunar calendar a popular subject for collectible coins. APMEX is proud to offer a variety of beautiful coins to honor each of the 12 animals from the entire lunar calendar. Each animal is represented in either Gold or Silver, or even both, in second-to-none designs by the Royal Canadian Mint.
The Royal Canadian Mint offers many unique variations on these lunar coins including hologram Gold, lotus-shaped Silver and hand-polished dies for a pristine Proof finish. At APMEX, you will be able to find a Gold or Silver coin for any lunar sign. They each make a great personal collectible or a wonderful gift for someone close to you!
